My Background
Hello and welcome to my website! I am a social worker and integrative psychotherapist, offering virtual psychotherapy in Massachusetts and New York. I have over a decade of experience in the field, having served diverse populations in community and clinic settings, and I have been in private practice since 2017.
I earned my MSW at Simmons School of Social Work. I worked with children and families, and with adults diagnosed with severe/persistent mental health conditions, in community-based programs at North Suffolk Mental Health Association. I completed my practicum at Cambridge Health Alliance working primarily with adolescents in the Department of Child Psychiatry. I then worked with adults 18-75 as a staff psychotherapist at the Guidance Center in Cambridge before it joined with Riverside Community Care.
I have postgraduate training from the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis and the Institute for Existential-Psychoanalytic psychotherapy. With years of experience in the field, as well as my own personal journey, I became aware of the effort to integrate mindfulness and self-compassion in psychotherapy. I have training from the Center for Mindful-Self Compassion and the Center for Mindfulness and Self-Compassion at Cambridge Health Alliance, and I draw heavily on my training in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, which is the foundation of my approach to psychotherapy. I continue to pursue learning that will deepen my skill and practice of these approaches because they are so powerfully transformative. They are also evidence-based.
It is an honor to support others taking the courageous step of moving from acknowledgment of life’s difficulties toward the path of self-discovery, healing, and transformation. I have a cinnamon pearl cockatiel named Ella that you may occasionally hear tweeting during our sessions.
